Why this page exists
Every payment provider operating in India requires a published refund and cancellation policy before they will process a rupee on your behalf. More usefully: it means neither of us has to invent an answer during an awkward conversation.
Project work
Billed against milestones. If you cancel mid-project, you pay for work completed and accepted up to that point and nothing beyond it. Any amount paid in advance of that work is refunded in full.
Work already delivered and accepted is not refundable. It exists, it is yours, and you can take it elsewhere — that is what accepted means.
Retainers and support
Charged monthly in advance. Cancel with one month's notice and the following month is not billed. The month in progress is not refunded, because the capacity was reserved and the cover was provided.
Metered and third-party services
Messaging, delivery dispatch and similar usage-based services are billed on what was actually consumed and are not refundable — the underlying provider has already charged us for messages that were sent and deliveries that were dispatched.
If we bill you for usage that did not happen, that is our error and we correct it with a credit note against the next invoice, or a refund if there is no next invoice.
If we get it wrong
If we deliver something that does not meet the agreed written scope and we cannot put it right within a reasonable time, you get that milestone's fee back. We would rather fix it, and we usually can, but the option is yours.
How to ask, and how long it takes
Email accounts@relicsoft.in with the invoice number and what you want refunded. We respond within 3 business days.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days of approval. Your bank then takes its own time — typically 5 to 10 working days for a card, faster for UPI or a bank transfer. We cannot make that part go quicker, but we can tell you the date we released it.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, email us before raising a chargeback. A chargeback costs us a fee and freezes the conversation for weeks; an email usually resolves it the same day. We have never refused a legitimate refund.
